Assign and track tasks from notes
This feature addresses multiple requests from users for the ability to “Log into CIM and see everything I need to do”.
What is it?
Essentially any note can become a task that is assignable to another CIM user, or group of Users. CIM users with tasks can view the tasks assigned to them from the task dashboard, which shows all the tasks assigned to them personally across any notes in CIM. This gives users the ability to see all tasks or notes assigned to them, in one place.
The task dashboard
The task dashboard is where you will see any task assigned to you. You can click into any task and open the appropriate tool in the “right rail”, which is a slide out view for showing the details of the record associated with the task. For example, a task associated with a prior authorization would open the Referral Manager details view in the right rail.
Replying to and completing tasks
Tasks are assigned at the note message level. When you are assigned a task you will have access to the reply button, which will allow you to reply to the sender or re-assign the task with a message. You also have the capability to complete a task with the check mark button.
Creating a task
Tasks can be created and assigned from any note. Simply check the "Create Task from note" box and assign it to a CIM user or a Team.
Teams are groups of people that share a task list. Rather than assigning a task to an individual, try assigning a task to a team! If you would like to create a new team reach out to your Team Administrators. Team Administrators have the ability to create, edit, delete, and add users to teams. Teams will allow the assignment of one or multiple carriers to limit team visibility.
Viewing tasks for teams
To switch between tasks specifically for you and any teams you are on, use the Task List dropdown on your dashboard.
